What Is Actually Included in a Beach Wedding Package
Two quotes can look similar on paper and deliver very different days. Understanding what sits behind each line makes comparison much easier.
The ceremony setup
This normally covers the arch or canopy, aisle, seating for your guests, and the floral work on the structure itself. Ask how many chairs are included and what happens if your guest count grows. Ask whether the flowers are fresh or artificial, because on a hot beach the difference shows.
Photography and video
The key questions are how many hours of coverage, how many photographers, how many edited images you receive, and when. A package offering three hundred images in two weeks is a very different service from one offering eighty in three months.
Officiant and ceremony script
A symbolic beach ceremony can be led in English, Thai, or both. Ask whether the script can be personalised, whether you can write your own vows, and whether a rehearsal is included.
Sound
Easy to overlook and the thing guests notice most. Open beach swallows unamplified speech almost immediately. A basic PA with a microphone for the officiant and couple should be standard.
Hair, makeup and dressing
Usually priced per person. Confirm whether a trial is included, whether the artist travels to your room, and how many additional people can be added.
Flowers beyond the arch
Bouquet, buttonholes, petals for the aisle, table arrangements. These are often quoted separately from the ceremony structure, which is a common source of surprise.
Transport
For beaches reached by boat, transfers for the whole group are a significant cost. Check whether it covers guests or only the couple and suppliers.
Questions worth asking any planner
- What is the wet-weather plan, and does it cost extra?
- Who is my point of contact on the day itself?
- What happens if my guest numbers change after booking?
- Are permits for the beach included?
- What is the payment schedule and cancellation policy?
A good planner will answer all of these without hesitation. If any answer is vague, ask again in writing.
